Staying healthy at your desk
When you’re at work the last thing you should have to worry about is your physical health but even the most sedentary jobs can mean stress on your body. Here are a few tips for staying healthy and happy while working a desk job at least 40 hours per week
Get the Best Chair Possible: if there are options in your office, try out several desk chairs before you decide on one. See which gives your back the most support and allows you to sit upright with both feet planted on the ground.
Get the Right Tools: if you’re on the phone all day, consider asking your boss for a headset and business voip for you phone. You’ll be better off speaking into a speaker than having to support a phone and tilt your head all day long.
Move Around: No matter how comfortable your work space, it’s crucial to get up and move every chance you get. If you have a lunch break, take a walk and even if it’s just to get some water, make sure you take a lap every 2 hours or so.
