How to use this site
Welcome to the Open Up website, where you can find, use, and input information about mental health discrimination issues. The site is aimed at mental health service users and survivors in the UK, particularly those individuals and groups interested in doing anti-discrimination work.

This section briefly introduces the site's main features.

If you're new to Mental Health Media, the site producer and owner, you might like to see what we believe and learn more about the Open Up project.

How to find things
  • Return to the home page by clicking the Open Up logo at the top left corner of your screen.
  • Enter one of the 7 main sections listed in the menu bar on the left side of your screen
  • Use the navigation arrow system at the top of the page to see where you are on the site: e.g. Discrimination Facts>>Friends and family
  • shows that you are in the Friends and family part of Personal stories which is part of Discrimination Facts section
  • Search the site
Searching You can do a Quicksearch of the site using the dropdown box at the top right corner of the screen.
Our Find out screen allows you to refine your search using dropdown lists or your own search terms.

Sign up (registration)

You are free to browse most of this site and view the discussion boards without signing up.

However, you'll need to sign up to Open Up if you want to participate in the discussion boards, receive priority updates on project news and upload details of your anti-discrimination project or work.

Signing up is free and easy. You can change or remove your details at any time.
